The Nurturer

The Nurturer is the part of you that is able to empathically parent your Self and your supporting cast members. The Nurturer is able to comfort, soothe, and love every aspect of who you are. The Nurturer is the unconditionally accepting energy within yourself that is able to embrace without judgment each disowned part of who you are with the same amount of love used to embrace those qualities of yourself you hold no prejudices towards.

The Nurturer holds no ill-will towards any aspect of who you are. He sees the goodness and the God-ness in all of who you are. The Nurturer’s job is to nurse back to health the malnourished parts that you have cast aside as well as to tend to the feeding and care of those parts of your Self that you’ve already claimed.

Whereas the Intolerant Self is like a Marine drill sergeant, relying on criticism and judgment to whip your Self and others into shape, the Nurturer is like Mother Theresa, relying on charity and compassion. As you begin to transform your relationship with your character defects, there will be no one who has a more important role in that transformation than the Nurturer.
